Self Metamorphosis
Spin Art
With a group of three other artists, I embarked on an exciting experiment- diving into the world of spin art. However, we encountered one small challenge- we lacked a traditional spin art device. As resourceful creators, we put our heads together and devised a solution. We repurposed a simple salad spinner and transformed it into our very own spin art contraption.

With a vivid palette of acrylic paints, thinned with a few drops of water, we delved into the magical realm of swirling colors and creating patterns. Our collaborative effort allowed us to explore the unique potential of this unconventional technique.

The surfaces we experimented with included wood, canvas, and colored paper- each offering its own distinctive texture and character. The grain of the wood provided an earthy, organic feel, while the canvas and paper surfaces provided a smoother backdrop for the vibrant hues.
Throughout our creative journey, we reveled in the surprises that spin art had in store for us. The centrifugal forces acted as our co-creators, guiding the paint as it twirled and splattered across the surface, leaving behind mesmerizing trails of color and form. Every piece we produced was a unique expression of our combined artistic visions and efforts, capturing the dynamic energy of collaboration.
