Self Metamorphosis
Tears of the Earth
OIL ON CANVAS -WORK IN PROGRESS

This large-scale painting explores the deep interconnectedness between human emotion and the natural world. A single eye becomes the center of the piece, where its tear transforms into a waterfall cascading through canyons. Skin dissolves into stone and mountains, blurring the boundary between body and landscape.

At 4 by 6 feet, the scale allows the textures and details to feel immersive—warm desert tones of sienna, rust, and red echo the strength of rock, while drifting clouds carry movement across the surface. This work reflects my own connection to nature, a reminder that our grief, resilience, and transformation are mirrored in the forces of the earth itself.
