Hearts of Glass

FUSED GLASS

These "Hearts of Glass" represent my recent venture into the world of creating fused glass hearts. I loved choosing different colors of glass and exploring the possibilities of combining them in various patterns. I especially enjoyed including iridescent pieces to give my creations a bit of shimmer.

To shape the glass, I utilized a cookie cutter as a mold. It was fun to witness the transformation of the glass as it fused together, creating a beautiful and harmonious composition. The process was not only creatively fulfilling but also served as a form of therapeutic release.

Fusing glass also offers opportunities for metaphorical expression. The medium could be used to symbolize transformation and healing, as separate pieces of glass come together to form a cohesive whole. This can be particularly meaningful for individuals working through personal challenges or traumatic experiences.

In addition to its expressive qualities, fusing glass as an art therapy tool can provide a sense of accomplishment and pride.
