Cosmic Reflections

This piece, "Cosmic Reflections" is an oil painting directly inspired by a photograph taken by my talented partner, featuring me. This artwork emerges from a shot taken for our work for his photography project entitled, "The Guide to The Galaxy" —a profound exploration of self-reflection, identity, and the depths of the human existence. Through this project, we aim to guide viewers on an introspective journey, using silver body paint and photographing subjects on a sleek black reflective surface to symbolize the transformative power of looking within.

In this particular photograph, I become the subject of exploration. The double exposure image showcases an intriguing interaction with myself, inviting contemplation into how we connect with our selves on a daily basis. As the layers of silver body paint shimmer against the dark reflective backdrop, they symbolize the layers of our consciousness and the reflections of our innermost thoughts and emotions.
